A Typical Week in the Life of a WonderED Student
Advisory Meetings & Recap Emails
Students have important short daily check-ins with their advisor and the WonderED community. This happens for guidance on current projects. Recap emails help to outline important information/highlights from the meetings for students/parents to review together.
Project-Based Learning
Student-Led means that students have a say in what they study. Projects are a chance for students to design their own learning path, develop self-management skills, become inventive and creative problem solvers.
Math Coursework
Math is a unique language that unlocks parts of the brain to help students learn the "how to's" of math to apply to real world activities like budgeting, cooking, logical reasoning, memory and much more. It is a vital part of our students' education.
Reading: Research and Fun
Just like math, reading lights up unique parts of the brain and helps to develop vocabulary, knowledge and understanding of emotions. Book clubs are available to help aid these skills and truly engage with their learning.
Community Learning
Learning is not limited to a classroom or a computer! Playing sports, traveling, learning a new language, cooking, art, etc. are all learning experiences! Our learning advisors work daily with each student ensure that their passions become the learning experiences that incorporate skills of all kinds!
WonderED Flexibility
While the Advisory Meetings are strongly encouraged at the same time each weekday, other student work like Project-Based Learning, Reading and Research and some coursework can be done on any day at any time. That allows students to travel, have a part-time job, or just work when it "feels right"!
